Southport Docks at Dusk was inspired by one of my favorite things to do in Southport—walk the docks after dinner on a warm summer evening. After a storm, the changing light can turn the sky into a mosaic of unexpected colors, reflected again in the shimmering water below. I wanted to capture that brief transition between storm and night, when the marina grows quiet, the light takes over, and an ordinary evening walk becomes something worth stopping to take in.

Where the Soul Meets the Sea opens October 3. Purchased artwork remains in the exhibition through November 7 unless released earlier with curator approval.
