My morning walks along the shore inspire my work, where shifting light and crashing waves offer endless moments of quiet reflection. Working in oil with a style of painterly realism, I capture the energy and motion of the water while preserving its gentle translucency. I begin with thumbnail sketches to refine the composition and movement, then build layers of oil paint to create soft edges, rich contrast, and dramatic light. This approach allows me to balance natural accuracy with emotional depth, bringing the shore's restorative spirit directly to the canvas.

Where the Soul Meets the Sea opens October 3. Purchased artwork remains in the exhibition through November 7 unless released earlier with curator approval.
