Look. Is it a description or a demand? The Brown Pelican in this painting is definitely giving you a look. It's almost hard to tear your eyes away from his gaze to see the repeated swirling pattern throughout the painting. The exaggerated yellow of the feathers and brilliant green background make a joyous representation of this bird, and serves as a reminder of what's important to turn our attention toward.
