The inspiration for this painting was the result of a kayak trip starting in Swansboro, NC (called "The Friendly City by the Sea"). There are a lot of small islands where shells and sharks' teeth can be found - also amazing views. This one reminded me of a Monet painting, which I tried to emphasize.
