A painting of the loblolly pines of Waites Island. A quiet, contemplative moment on a coastal edge — it is place of both stability and vulnerability. The title "Falling Off" is both literal in the depiction of the dune cliff as well as metaphorical in the leaning pines eventual surrender to the relentless advance of the ocean.
