Medium: Enameled Fused Glass Dimensions: 12" wide by 6" high Artwork ID: A13-2

This piece was painted with traditional and transparent fused glass enamels. I built the mold used to bend the glass into shape by arranging sections of fiber blanket and felt on top of stainless steel. It underwent three kiln firings to reach this final form. This piece shows one solitary fish blending into its watery home with the amber sand and blue waters almost disguising its form. The top surface of this work is clear glass which makes it food safe. This is an art piece that should be hand washed and not used in a microwave oven.
